Discourse
According to Crystal (1997) Discourse is:
“A continuous stretch of (especially spoken) language longer than a sentence”
Other definitions of discourse:
“Language in its social context, as it is used to carry out the social and intellectual life of a community” (Mercer,1995 p.79)
